Associated NORM+DREH GmbH in Velbert has been an active supplier to industry since 1973, family-run in the third generation.
We supply fasteners to standard and a range of manufactured parts made to drawing.
As an established industrial supplier, we serve mechanical and apparatus engineering, the construction industry, sanitary and fittings, the lock and fittings industry, measurement technology, solar and energy technology and many other industries.
Global sourcing and import handling
Large annual requirements call for forward planning, flexible production capacity and a reliable supply chain. We plan recurring requirements proactively, coordinate production volumes across our independent international production plants and consolidate shipments for cost-effective, efficient logistics. We handle the entire import and customs clearance. For our customers, that means one central contact and one reliable supplier in Velbert.
C-parts management
Less procurement effort, more planning certainty and maximum flexibility for your call-offs. Based on a jointly agreed blanket order, you set your expected annual requirement. We coordinate procurement and keep the agreed quantities in stock in our own warehouse or with one of our logistics partners. You call off the parts when you need them, and pay only on delivery. Handling stays deliberately simple: you can call off the partial quantities you need flexibly and informally.

Direct access to independent manufacturing plants in Germany, Europe and Asia. Depending on geometry, material and quantity, we choose the best location and, as a quasi-manufacturer, coordinate everything through to customs clearance.

Product range
Different components require different manufacturing processes. We supply everything from standardised fasteners to special parts made to drawing. Your component does not fit any category? Send us your drawing, and we will check process and location.
Micro and small turned parts
Turned and turn-milled parts from Ø 0.5 to Ø 20 mm. We assess length, unit weight and technical feasibility individually based on your drawing.
Standard parts
Screws, nuts and washers to DIN, EN and ISO, ordered by standard number, also in small quantities. On request, we add rework, surface finish or thread locking from a single source.
Special screws and parts made to drawing
Special screws, special bolts and rivets such as semi-tubular rivets or rivet pins that are not in any catalogue. Where DIN and ISO are not enough, the partner plants manufacture to your drawing.
Thread locking
Clamping to DIN 267 Part 28, adhesive and micro-encapsulated to Part 27. The locking is already on the thread on delivery, and you order fastener and locking as one item.
Fastening accessories
Washers, nuts, bolts and small parts for a screw connection, kitted, packed and labelled with a barcode or QR code. Shims included, on request in the same blanket order.
Direct screw fastenings
Thread-forming screws that form their own thread as they are driven in, for plastics, light metals and thin sheet metal. We match thread form, material and surface finish to your assembly.

Two checks are better than one. In quality too.
Quality starts in production, and for us it does not end with production approval.
Approval samples for a series order are generally provided to you in advance free of charge. Regular series production starts after your approval. This does not constitute a blanket commitment to provide tooling free of charge.
This way we make sure early on that your components meet the defined requirements. Our independent manufacturing partners work to clearly defined quality standards. As a minimum requirement, we rely on a quality management system certified to DIN EN ISO 9001.

Quality assurance
Our quality advantage: inspection at two independent points.
In addition to the quality checks directly at the production site, our own quality department in Velbert carries out an additional incoming goods inspection by sampling before delivery. This two-stage quality control provides additional security, increases transparency within the supply chain and reduces the risk of defective deliveries.
For particularly demanding applications, we offer additional inspection methods on request, including 100% camera sorting, in which every single component is checked against defined, technically verifiable quality characteristics. Manufacturing
We are not tied to any manufacturing process.
Geometry, material, quantity and application decide which manufacturing process fits. Often it is a combination.
A cold-formed bolt is then turned or processed by bending, after which the thread is rolled. Where necessary, heat treatment, surface finish and, depending on requirements, a functional coating follow.
This is how different manufacturing processes combine into the best possible, economically attractive price, with one contact for all steps.
Velbert, the key region
Fastening technology meets locking systems.
For generations, Velbert and Heiligenhaus have been shaped by lock, fittings and locking systems technology. We have supplied this sector for decades and have been a member of Die Schlüsselregion e.V. since 2016. Heiligenhaus is around 6.5 km away.
For rotary latches, industrial locks, control cabinets and fitting systems, we supply components for locking systems: housings, actuating elements (inserts), tabs/tongues and nuts made to your drawing. The function of your lock stays with you. What is screwed, mounted and secured inside it, we supply.

What people often ask before their first inquiry.

What do you need for an inquiry?
Ideally a drawing, the quantity and your preferred date. Less also works: a DIN number, a sample or a sketch with dimensions. If there is no manufacturing drawing, we create a production drawing as the basis for the quotation. You can attach PDF, JPG, PNG or TIF files directly to the inquiry, and CAD files such as DXF or STEP as a ZIP.

Which standards do you supply to?
Essentially all common standard parts to DIN, EN, ISO and ANSI, for example set screws DIN 913 to 916 and threaded rods DIN 976. Also thread locking to DIN 267 Part 27 and Part 28. Everything else can be made individually to customer requirements, to your drawing, which may deviate from any standard. A particular strength is fasteners made “similar to DIN” or “similar to ISO”. These are based on existing standards but are specifically adapted to the application in terms of dimensions, materials, surfaces or functional properties, and produced accordingly.

What do your certificates cover?
We are certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and DIN EN ISO 14001:2015, both by TÜV NORD CERT. The certificates apply to Associated NORM+DREH GmbH at the Velbert site. You will find the registration number and validity on the quality assurance page.

Which documents are available before delivery?
Depending on the component and agreement: initial sample inspection report, dimensional report, test report 2.2 or inspection certificate 3.1 to DIN EN 10204, surface inspection reports, origin and customs documents, and REACH and RoHS documentation. We are happy to agree in advance exactly what you need and include the documents in the quotation.

How does supply work after the first delivery?
For series parts, we agree a blanket order with call-off quantities. The standard term is 12 months based on annual quantities, and longer by agreement. We coordinate the required quantities, produce the series at the right plant and take care of parts availability. Stock is usually held at our site in Germany, from which we deliver the partial quantities you need on call-off.

Do you also supply fasteners made to drawing?
Yes. Anything that is not standardised you receive individually made to your drawing, which may deviate from any standard. Parts are manufactured at one of our partner plants, then inspected and delivered via Velbert.
